Julia Buwick serves as a Community of Care Coordinator for Basic Needs in Student Care and Outreach. She earned her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Business from Appalachian State University in 2015 and a Master of Education in Professional School Counseling from the University of Georgia in 2018. Within her role as a Community of Care Coordinator for Basic Needs, Julia works to provide resources to support students’ basic needs. This includes managing the UGA Student Food Pantry and offering support to other resources on campus that provide access to resources like food, clothing, hygiene items, and other essential needs. Additionally, Julia serves as program coordinator for Embark@UGA, an initiative on campus to support students who have experienced housing insecurity, homelessness, and/or foster care.
